Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office

The Office of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer is in-charge on the development and management of devolved functions on environment and natural resources.


Ecological Solid Wastes Management (ESWM)

  • Strictly implemented the “no segregation, no collection policy┬Ł”
  • Maintained the cleanliness and orderliness of the General Nakar Sanitary Landfill and Ecological Gardens, one of the cleanest if not the cleanest landfill in the Province of Quezon
  • Provided trainings, seminars, and lectures on ESWM to various stakeholders of the Municipality
  • Required the establishment of Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) to different sitios of the barangays
  • Provided ESWM orientations to business owners prior to business establishment and on annual renewal of permits


Endemic Plant Nursery and Arboretum

  • Provided free endemic seedlings to the constituents of General Nakar provided that the planting site is within the territorial jurisdiction of General Nakar
  • Maintained the collection of endemic plants
  • Provided training and seminar on nursery establishment using rainforestation technology
  • Nursery and Arboretum served as learning laboratory to the students

  1. 1st Year Implementation of Forest Land Use Plan under the NPS-ENRMP of DENR, GEF-WB and Municipal Government of General Nakar
  2. Organic Agroforestry Project at Brgy. San Marcelino with CELPA, Inc. funded by DA-BAR
  3. Conservation Farming Villages with UPLB funded by DA-BAR
